scout-and-baggins-wood The Dunster Tithe Barn which dates back to the early 16th century when it was a Benedictine Priory.

In 2006 the Tithe Barn was transformed into a magnificent community centre for Dunster.
Now considered to be one of the finest such facilities in West Somerset and Exmoor.  The Tithe barn offers a Main Hall with seating for up to 120, or 200 people without tables.

<<The Reception/exhibition room is shown with local scout leader and Dulcimer player Baggins Wood.

tithe-barn2 There are two additional rooms that can be hired either separately or in conjunction with the main hall.  A reception/Exhibition room and a meeting/club room.

There are modern toilets including disabled facilities and a well fitted kitchen.

Outside a hard surface area offers two disabled car parking spaces and limited parking area.

<< The main hall with imposing exposed beam roof and oak floor.
national-trust.jpg The reception/exhibition room is especially attractive.  A slate floor and exposed beam roof make this a wonderfully atmospheric room.  The room is 34ft max by 20ft (L shape). It provides an Excellent entrance to the Tithe Barns main hall or club/meeting room.

The first class quality workmanship throughout gives the tithe barn more the feel of professional premium quality exhibition space rather than a community centre.

dolls-museum.jpg The Club/Meeting room has a carpeted floor, exposed roof timbers and measures approx 35ft by 20ft.  Equipped for table tennis and pool etc it can also be used as a club meeting room with seating for around 50 people.
