dunkerybeaconpony.jpg reddeer.jpgfox.jpg Exmoor teems with wild life.

Herds of Red Deer roam free on the open moors and in the woods.
The stags are majestic with their antlers in rutting season in late summer and autumn. Their load brays sound pre-historic as they echo around the valleys of Exmoor.

Buzzards patrol the skies and foxes and rabbits are found at almost every turn.

Herds of wild Exmoor ponies can be found across Exmoor. All told there are 140 ponies and can be found here. This endangered species is a hardy British breed and has hardly changed since the stone age.

Exmoor is riddled with paths and bridleways you can use to get close to nature. From coastal environs to open moorland.

Why not take an Exmoor Safari to get really close to nature.  You can find details of the Exmoor Safaris Here
