Exmoor Activities - From Hiking to Moutain Bike Riding Print E-mail
exmooractivities.jpgThere is plenty to do and see in and around Exmoor National Park no matter what yoour tastes. From a relaxing walk to an extreme downhill mountain bike ride.

Aside from being an ideal idylic landscape to explore by foot, bike or horseback you'll find picturesque villages and hamlets hidden away in wooded valleys. Take an Exmoor Safari seeing the landscape and nature from the comfort of a 4x4. Spend a day with your family in Butlins enjoying the water park or the largest high wire facility in Europe.

Exmoor's dramatic coastline is provides plenty of challenging and quality Exmoor climbing.

Pherhaps animals are more your thing exploring Tropiquaria with it's beasts and pirate play ships. Falconcry displays, farm parks, country fayres, people showing off their prowess in equestrian events and so much more to do and see.

Pherhaps you would just like to relax on Minehead beach and take in live as it goes by.

- Reading Moutain Bike Club based themselves in Dunster for exploring Exmoor
- Find some Quantocks and Exmoor Moutain Bike routes
- A review of Exmoor as a mountain bike destination
- Morotrbike Trials and 4x4 drivers will often base themslves in Dunster as they can do one day on the Quantocks and another on Exmoor from the same base.
- Pherhaps Somerset Hang Gliding or Paragliding is more your thing.

For a nice drive try The Porlock Toll Road. It offers fantastic sea views.  Of course you probably won't want to drive as fast as they do in the Somerset Stages Rally each year. Of course what you can't see is the hundred foot drops on the right.
