Dunster is situated in the sweeping hills of the Exmoor National Park and provides the ideal base for your holiday.  With over 200 listed buildings Dunster is preserved so that generations to come can enjoy the historic qualities of this unique village.  Dunster has a wealth of historic buildings, from the National Trust’s 11th century Dunster Castle to the Old Yarn Market in the middle of the High Street, which was a focal point for the old Exmoor wool and cloth trade.


Within a few miles of this historic village of Dunster you have the stunning countryside of Exmoor National Park with its outstanding views and diverse range of wildlife.  The famous Red Deer and Exmoor ponies roam the hills and vales while the buzzards and red kite fly above you.

The spectacular coastline of West Somerset is beset with cliffs, beaches and harbours to while away your visit. You can enjoy the local ales and cream teas after your walk or cycle ride through this magnificent area of England.
