Exmoor House is a lovely early Georgian Grade 2 listed town house in the conservation area of this very special village, within Exmoor National Park.
We can accommodate up to 12 adults in 6 rooms, and are a perfect venue for group events. If you choose to stay with us you are assured of a friendly welcome and of our best efforts to make your stay enjoyable.
Personal attention to detail.
There's just the two of us here, no staff, so if you call or email, you'll be talking to one of us. We do everything ourselves, so you can rely on our hands on approach. We meet & greet, show you to your room and help with luggage. We cook and serve you breakfast and service your room each day. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail. We can deal with any questions you may have.
Coming and Going.
When you stay with us you are given your own front door key, so you can come and go as you please. Check-in and check-out times are detailed below.
We offer a childfree, smoke free, and pet free stay. We think you will enjoy the atmosphere here- it is friendly, relaxing and quiet. We are happy to help if you would like ideas for day trips or onward journeys. We'll chat, if you would like to, but leave you in peace if you wouldn't.
Local Produce.
What we have always offered, where possible, is food that is actually produced locally, not just supplied locally. Wake up to the taste of delicious local apple juice. Follow this with our "Full Exmoor" breakfast including organic or free-range bacon, sausage and eggs, cooked to order and served straight from the grill. Or try our famed smoked Exmoor Trout with scrambled eggs. Our continental breakfast includes local cheese and the bread and pastries are baked by us as you sleep! Finish the meal with toast and local honey, marmalade or jam.
Parking
Exmoor House is situated in the oldest street in Dunster we offer the following options for car parking which work well for our guests :
Secure parking in the near by National Trust Car Park - passes obtainable on arrival at Exmoor House
Pay & Display car park 250yds away (free overnight) £3.20 per day
Parking in West Street and around the village subject to availability
We have never yet had a guest who has been unable to park
"The little bit more".
We change your towels every day and your bedlinen every second day, if applicable to your stay.
Fresh milk is supplied for the refreshments in your bedroom, as well as bottled Exmoor spring water, with our compliments.
We have a guest sitting room, where you can relax and browse through the local tourist information, read a novel , or do a jigsaw, to the sounds of Classic FM. Sit here with your coffee or glass of something and be "on holiday".

TARIFF
Rooms from £60.00 per night for Bed & Breakfast, based on two people sharing.
We have no single rooms, but will quote for single occupancy on request, subject to availability.
Terms & Conditions: A non-refundable deposit of £25 per room per night is required. In the event of cancellation within 7 days of the arrival date, the balance must be paid, unless the room is re-let. You may wish to consider holiday insurance.
