Accessibility statement
Visit Dunster. How accessible this website is, and how to tell us about problems.
This statement applies to www.visitdunster.co.uk, run by Booking Brain Ltd, trading as Visit Dunster.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- move through every page, the date picker and the booking steps using a keyboard alone
- zoom in up to 400% without text running off the screen
- use the site with a screen reader
- see the list of houses without using the map: the map is optional, and the same houses and prices are in the list
- see moving content stop if your device asks for reduced motion
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Before launch we checked text and control contrast, keyboard access, focus visibility, labels and target sizes on the home page, search, house pages and the booking steps, with automated tests and by hand. We have not yet had an independent audit.
We know of these limitations:
- The map comes from Google Maps. Parts of it, such as map controls and place labels, are outside our control and may not work well with every screen reader. Everything on the map is also in the list next to it.
- House descriptions and photographs come from the owners. Some photographs do not yet have descriptive alternative text, so we describe them by the house name.
