We don't use analytics, advertising or any other non-essential cookies. If that ever changes, the site will ask for your consent first and this page will list them.

What we keep in your browser

• Saved stays. Houses you save are remembered in your browser's local storage so the list is there next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clear it from Saved.
• Recently viewed houses. A short list of the houses you looked at, kept on your device so you can find them again.
• Your stay in progress. When you press Book these dates, the house, dates and party you chose are kept in the browser for up to 24 hours, so a refresh doesn't lose them.
• Small working notes. Your place in the search list (until you close the tab), whether our fonts have already loaded, which cancellation option was shown to you, and a counter that stops the site sending us the same error report twice. None of these identify you.
• Maps. The maps come from Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may set or read its own cookies to keep the service secure and working. Google's cookie policy explains them.
• Card payments (when online payment is switched on). Online payment is off at the moment. When it is on, Stripe, which processes our card payments, sets cookies on the payment step to prevent fraud, and the browser keeps a payment reference (no card details) so a lost connection can't lead to a second payment.

These are needed for the site to work, so they don't need your consent. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
